ChatMemo is a local-first reader for the message archives people can download from Instagram. It exists to make those files useful without turning private history into uploaded content.

Chat archives can contain personal conversations, media, names, and dates. ChatMemo performs archive parsing, search, previews, and report generation in the browser so the imported files do not need to be stored on an application server.
What the service stores
If you sign in, the authentication provider stores the account and session information needed for login. Purchase records store the entitlement required to restore access. These records do not contain the messages from your imported archive.
What ChatMemo is not
ChatMemo is not an Instagram client, message recovery tool, or method for accessing deleted content. It can only read files already present in an official export that you are authorized to use.
